Job Overview

Group Account Director

As a Group Account Director you will focus on clients and business growth. You’ll partner with Colle McVoy leadership and be empowered to lead and grow our existing business and future opportunities. You will possess extensive experience in branding, marketing and digital, as well as in strategy, relationship management and leading successful teams. Your positive energy and innovative thinking should be contagious. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire high-performing, cross-functional agency and client teams
  • Collaborate and create a shared vision with the creative and strategy leads on your accounts
  • Foster and grow strong relationships and manage expectations of the most senior client partners
  • Deliver work that is strategically rooted and creatively driven to produce business results
  • Be fully familiar with clients’ businesses, competition and marketing objectives in order to clearly define business problems and apply insights
  • Embrace a consultative mindset to help identify unforeseen problems and unlock agency opportunities to engage more broadly throughout client organizations
  • Approach business challenges holistically and aim to break down silos
  • Possess a presence that is as inspiring as it is commanding
  • Construct a work environment of mentorship for the account leadership team to ensure depth of client/industry knowledge and agency process
  • Be a persuasive and effective communicator who is skilled at negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Lead proposal efforts and manage the SOW process from development to signature on designated accounts
  • Understand financial inputs and implications of the business
  • Proactively manage resource allocation and agency investments to drive client growth and profitability
  • Maintain active stewardship of a strong Colle McVoy reputation 

Required Skills

  • Passionate about working at Colle McVoy and can clearly articulate how you can make a difference
  • Resourceful with strong management skills and demonstrated team-leadership
  • Experience with building and leading integrated teams, as well as outside agency partnerships, as needed—excels at internal and external relationships
  • Visionary, strategic, curious with strong business acumen and attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of tech, data, services, brand, multi-faceted retail and trade components
  • Demonstrate initiative, act and drive results
  • Effective listener and communicator (written, oral and presentation)
  • Ability to inspire others to drive change 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 12+ years of agency or relevant experience (multifaceted, multimillion dollar gross income accounts)
  • 5+ years of experience with directly managing integrated teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to travel as needed 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  •  Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time 

At the time of posting, the base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness options, agency perks, and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.
